Vacancy for MEAL Coordinator

Main Job Purpose:

Action For Humanity Palestine is a charity that aims to provide aid and assistance to people affected by natural and man-made disasters. Our vision is a world of crises-resilient communities. The MEAL Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating project activities and results to ensure objectives are met, while promoting accountability and continuous learning through data collection and analysis. The goal is to improve program effectiveness and ensure transparency and active beneficiary participation.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

M&E Framework and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework and strategy for the program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and donor requirements.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data collection and monitoring tools.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Oversee data collection processes, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely data.
  • Ensure that data collection tools are standardized and consistent across all projects.
  • Perform data analysis and generate actionable insights that contribute to program decision-making.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit regular M&E reports to senior management and donors.
  • Provide detailed progress updates, including achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of donor reports, proposals, and other relevant documentation.

Capacity Building and Training:

  • Train field staff and partners on M&E methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure high-quality data collection and analysis.

Accountability and Learning:

  • Establish feedback mechanisms to ensure program accountability to beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of learning, encouraging the integration of lessons learned into program design and implementation.

Field Monitoring and Support:

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities and provide hands-on support to staff.
  • Identify and resolve any challenges related to data collection, program implementation, and report

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with program team, sector specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of M&E systems.
  • Foster collaboration with partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with M&E strategies and tools

متطلبات الوظيفة

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, quality management, statistics, or other relevant field with strong analytical skills, or a combination of experience and working in this sector.

General Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in humanitarian or development programs, including at least 3 years in MEAL sector with high reporting skills.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in M&E tools and methodologies, including surveys, assessments, and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of data management and analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, or others).
  • Experience in report writing and preparing donor-compliant reports.

Core Competencies:

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex data and ideas.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and local partners.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify challenges and provide practical solutions in a timely manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in dynamic and often challenging environments.
  • Integrity: Commitment to the values and ethics of the organization, ensuring transparency and accountability in all actions.

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Proficiency in English is highly desirable (both written and spoken).
