The East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program (EJ YMCA RP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1989 and offers quality rehabilitative services to persons with disability and survivors of political violence.

The EJ YMCA RP is seeking to hire a full-time “Media and Communication Coordinator” in its office in Beit-Sahour.

Key Responsibilities:
-Prepares, writes, reviews and edits Program's related documents and updates including    Program’s and projects' profiles, fact sheets, speeches, success stories, press releases, media briefings, marketing materials, and recruiting information both in Arabic and English language.
-Works closely with key staff to create supporting multimedia materials and prepare visibility materials related to the Program and the projects, including brochures, newsletters, reports …etc.
-Communicates effectively in Social Media including Youtube, facebook and other similar community sites as needed.
-Participates in organizing communication and PR activities and social events.
-Writes and posts material for the relevant areas of the website as required, and ensures that information remains topical and up-to-date.
-Pays urgent or planned field visits to the work locations of the Program to promptly produce informative, factual and clear news reports supported by photos and/or short videos when possible.
-In consultation with key staff,  puts up communication and visibility strategies for promoting the Program's mission and attracting potential donors.
-Accompanies film crews and journalists and coordinates production if needed.
-Represents the Program at various UN cluster and working group meetings.
-Ensures application of EJ YMCA RP branding standards on all publications and printed materials.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree and three years related experience in journalism, communications, public relations, media or other related fields.
-Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Strong multimedia and photography skills (including media editing skills) and social media experience.
-Ability to effectively  produce clear and concise written materials for a variety of audiences.
-Ability to make clear and concise oral presentations for a variety of audiences.
-Ability to gather and verify news information through interviews, observation, research…etc.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
-Broad thinking and ability to plan strategically for promoting the Program.
-Excellent time-management skills, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize.
-Resident of Bethlehem District.
