Introduction - Palestine Technical Colleges / Arroub has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)-Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Funded by the World Bank and EC, to implement the project of Media Technology Program and intends to apply part of this grant for selection and employment of highly qualified Consultants who have experience in Media Technical and Arts skills.
Assignment Objective:
• Palestine Technical Colleges /Arroub is considering the selection of highly qualified Consultants (1 person) to be part of the small core staff responsible for training technical staff in terms the technical and Art on the subjects detailed in Duties and Responsibilities of the Media Technology Department as part of the implementation of the project.
• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Give training sessions on using sound mixer (Digital Audio Mixer TASCAM DM-4800):
• Give technical Training sessions on using all functional options of the mixer such as recording and calibration while broadcasting time.
• Give technical Training sessions on using mixer with montage unit and the use of montage software and hardware such as ( sound editing work station adobe soundbooth CS4)
• Give technical Training sessions on mixer systems (Monitor out , Main out , Send, ALT)
• Programming mixer on digital time period tables
• Mixer connection with various studio radio broadcasting equipments .
• Give Training sessions on montage software ( adobe sound booth) , in terms of technical and art of recording inputs and editing .
2) Media Technology Consultants (Media expert trainer consultants

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Give Training sessions on outside (not in studio) sound recording for TV and Radio:
• BOOM MIC.
• Sound filtering in various conditions and environments .
• Using the Portable Mixer
• Calibrating the level of sound signals according to international technical quality.
2. Give training sessions on in studio Operational Radio broadcasting :
• Recording news programs with all related operations on mixers and microphones and recording unit and the related arts to present the news and programs
• Recording a dialogue programs with out side effects like external phone calls and music.
• Committing live radio program
• Calibrating the sound signals using “Compressor”
• Making Montage for radio programs and advertisements and logos Deliverables
• Training course layout and outline at the beginning of the training
• Completion of 60 training hours in the field of the assignment
• Final report including training materials soft and hard copy, obstacles met, lessons learned, trainees evaluation, attendance sheet, and conclusions and recommendation
Essential Required Qualifications, Skills, knowledge and Competencies:
• Candidates for this position should hold a certificate in one the flowing areas
- Media Technology / Art - Media Arts - Audio/ Video Shooting and Editing -Sound mixing -TV / Radio broadcasting
- TV / Radio Mixage and Montage - Computer Multimedia
• Bachelor degree in media specialization or any other related field with at least 5 years experience
• Knowledge of English language is a plus
• Working in the training field is a plus
Place of work: Hosted in Palestine Technical Colleges /Arroub and will be supervised by the Project Co-coordinator
