Main objectives:
The SRHR Medical Doctor will be responsible for the following main activities to ensure gender- and adolescent and youth-inclusive community and Primary Health Care Services with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support integration in the West Bank, occupied Palestinian territory.
Specific objectives:
- Conduct assessments.
- Develop training materials.
- Collaboration and Coordination.
- Training provision to healthcare workers.
- Provision of awareness sessions.
- Contribute to project data collection, reporting and documentation.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Main responsibilities and activities of MdM SRHR MD can imply modification according to the context, the organization of the work and to the composition of the team.
- Programming
Ensure proper implementation of project through different activities
- Actively participate in comprehensive assessments of the current state of sexual and reproductive health and Rights, maternal and child health services for adolescents, and youth, in the targeted areas of the West Bank. This includes knowledge and experience in both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- To support the management of the SRHR project activities.
- To ensure community engagement in needs assessment, project design and implementation.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop training materials and production and revision of guidelines and manuals for Adolescent SRHR specifically tailored for healthcare workers to address the unique needs and challenges of providing services to adolescents and youth.
- Provide training sessions and supervision to SRHR healthcare workers in the targeted primary healthcare centers at both MoH and PMRS facilities, through equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver quality, youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health services.
- To support technical assessment(s) of the training needs.
- Training healthcare workers on drug utilization and correct dosage.
- Educate patients about preventive care measures, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease prevention and the ability to provide awareness sessions at community level.
- To promote SRHR and family planning rights and practices among all stakeholders and partners, including communities.
- Actively supports/participates in developing and implementing strategies for improving access, quality standards, effectiveness, and participation based on statistical results, evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees.
- Representation:
- Participate in MDM France’s internal meetings, training, and individual meetings.
- Actively participate in internal coordination mechanisms in addition to reporting and attendance of different meetings.
- Participate in working meetings and coordination meetings with partner structures, upon request from your line manager.
- Share minutes of attended meeting within one week following the meeting.
- Represent MdM France at community-based events, when needed, and during meetings and field visits.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the medical project manager and the project team.
- Data collection and reporting
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the project’s interventions, providing medical expertise and insights to track progress and identify areas for improvement in serving the adolescent and youth population.
- Contribute to the preparation of regular project reports and documentation, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to the provision of services for adolescents and youth and following-up project activities.
- Provide monthly reports on your activities to your line manager, not later than the 5th of the following month, with quantitative data, as well as qualitative analysis.
- Report the progress and the development of activities, achievements, challenges, and eventual gaps to the Medical Manager.
- Provide case study, testimonies and/or success stories (Qualitative data collection) upon request from your line manager.
- Security
- To respect and follow MdM France’s security plan and internal regulations.
- To inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security incident or problem.
- If necessary, participate in emergency/Contingency plans with the MDM team.

I. RequirmentS:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with master's degree or diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and rights (SRHR) or a related field as an asset.
- Extensive experience in SRHR and/or MCH.
- At least 5 years of experience in providing medical services/Primary Health Care settings, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, and working with adolescent and youth populations within the last 5 years.
- Working experience within the Humanitarian Sector and INGOs is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering training sessions and capacity-building activities for healthcare workers on adolescent and youth-friendly approaches.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare system and challenges in the West Bank context, particularly in relation to serving adolescent and youth populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including young individuals.
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards of conduct, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for patient autonomy.
- Proficient in documentation and report writing, with the ability to provide qualitative and quantitative input.
- IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
- Willingness to travel to the project sites within the West Bank as required.
