SRHR Doctor, Gaza Base (1 Position)

Main objectives:
Under the direct and technical supervision of the Medical Manager, the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Medical Doctor will be responsible for the following main activities to ensure gender- and adolescent and youth-inclusive community and Primary Health Care Services with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) integration in the Gaza Strip, occupied Palestinian territory.
Specific objectives:
- Conduct assessments.
- Develop training materials.
- Collaboration and Coordination.
- Training provision to healthcare workers.
- Provision of awareness sessions.
Tasks and responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and activities of MdM SRHR MD can imply modification according to the context, the organization of the work, and to the composition of the team
- Programming
- Ensure proper implementation of the project through different activities
- Actively participate in comprehensive assessments of the current state of SRHR, maternal and child health services for adolescents, and youth, in the Gaza Strip. This includes knowledge and experience in both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Support the medical manager in the management of the SRHR project activities.
- Ensure community engagement in needs assessment, activities design, and implementation.
- Participate in developing and revising guidelines and manuals for youth and adolescent health and SRHR healthcare workers in the PHC setting.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop training curriculum and materials.
- Provide training and supervision sessions in SRHR targeting healthcare workers.
- To promote SRHR and safe practices among stakeholders, and communities.
- Actively supports/participates in developing and implementing strategies to improve access, quality standards, effectiveness, and participation based on statistical results, evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees.
- Ensuring that all relevant staff are qualified and trained regarding SRHR interventions, the flow of patients, diagnoses, management, and follow-up according to used protocols.
Representation:
- Participate in MdM’s internal meetings, training, and individual meetings.
- Participate in technical and coordination meetings with partners and stakeholders, upon request from the line manager.
- Represent MdM at community-based events, and field visits when needed.
- Data collection and reporting
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the project’s interventions, providing medical expertise and insights to track progress.
- Contribute to the preparation of regular project reports and documentation, highlighting key achievements, and following-up project activities.
- Provide monthly reports on the required activities to the medical manager.
- Report the progress of activities, achievements, challenges, and eventual gaps to the medical manager.
- Provide case studies, testimonies, and/or success stories (Qualitative data collection) upon request from the medical manager.

Requirments
- Medical degree (Medical Doctor or equivalent) with a master's degree or diploma in SRHR or a related field as an asset.
- 2 years’ experience in SRHR and/or MCH.
- Working NGO or INGO Experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering training sessions and capacity-building activities.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare system and challenges in the Gaza Strip context, particularly about serving adolescent and youth populations.
- Proficient in documentation and report writing.
- IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
