Caritas Jerusalem, Gaza Health Center intends to implement a project entitled, “Improve Access and Availability of Quality Care within Gaza Strip by Building the Capacity of NGOs and Community Based Organizations”. Caritas has received a grant from IMC under the USAID Gaza 2020 Health Matters Project. Caritas Jerusalem, Gaza Health Center Branch, is dedicated to providing high quality healthcare to patients of all ages in marginalized areas in the Gaza Strip. Caritas currently has a vacancy for a talented and compassionate Female Medical Officer to join our healthcare Mobile Medical Team.

Starting date: 16 January 2018
Duration: Full Time, 9 months.
Type of contract: Service Contract
Place of work: Mobile Medical Team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Clinical evaluation of patients and interpretation of lab analysis
To provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses
To conduct treatment of minor injuries
To prescribe, administer and dispense medication
Management of patients in emergency situation
To refer patients for further consultation as required
To document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications according to IMC and Caritas procedures

Qualifications and Skills

M.D. or MBBCH, between 2 and 4 years since graduation
Internship certificate
Registration from Palestinian MOH
Previous clinical experience as a primary care provider notably prenatal care.
Good computer skills.
