Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team. 

Medical Aid for Palestinians is seeking a Social Worker who will work closely with mobile health teams to assess and address the psychological and social needs of patients in the middle area of Gaza. The social worker will be responsible for providing immediate psychological support as needed, developing and implementing personalized care plans in collaboration with medical staff, and making referrals for specialized assistance. Additionally, this role involves conducting psycho-education activities for the target group and collaborating to ensure mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) is integrated across all activities.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in social work, preferably with vulnerable populations and in child protection. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline, and should be able to travel and work in the middle area of Gaza. Exceptional teamwork and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in English and Arabic for effective communication, are essential.
