Medical Warehouse Logistical Assistant
Location: Tulkarem
1. Background:
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a UK-registered charity that has been reaching out to the Palestinian communities, striving to deliver health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system. MAP’s vision is of a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable, and locally led system of healthcare and the full realization of their rights to health and dignity.
2. Objective:
In reference to the project titled: “Emergency primary health, DRR, protection and capacity development services to conflict-affected populations in Gaza and the West Bank”, which is funded by the EU, and implemented in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and MAP.
The MAP West Bank office is looking for a Medical Warehouse Logistics Assistant (Pharmacist, Assistant Pharmacist, Nurse) who will be responsible for ensuring the proper stocking of prepositioned medical supplies, including consumables, disposables, and medications at MAP’s warehouse in Tulkarem. The logistics assistant will also be responsible for monitoring the quantities and tracking expiration dates of the emergency items and releasing them when needed in coordination with the program manager and logistic officer.

3. Scope of work:
- In coordination with the WB logistics and programme team, the assistant will closely work with the warehouse teams to ensure proper stocking of prepositioned medical supplies.
- Assist MAP team during deliveries/shipments to the warehouse.
- Monitor the quantity and track the expiration date of medical supplies.
- Verify that all medical supplies are in good condition.
- Constantly communicate with MAP team regarding all aspects of warehouse storage management.
- Monitor the delivery process to ensure the correct items, quantities, and delivery notes are provided.
- Be able to travel to the warehouse during any emergency/incursion to oversee the distribution of the items.
- Monitor and report the security situation to determine the appropriate time for the items to be released.
4. Duration:
The service contract period is at least 8 months, starting from the date of contract signing.
5. Qualifications:
- Preferably a pharmacist, assistant pharmacist, nurse, or has a background of warehouse control with good knowledge of medical supplies storage conditions.
- Currently residing in Tulkarem city and possessing substantial knowledge of the local political and security situation.
- Experience in logistics coordination is essential.
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliability and timeliness are critical for this role.

7. Reporting and Payment Schedule:
The payment will be paid based on request for payment, approved timesheet and warehouse tracking report approved by the MAP Medical Program Manager/ Procurement Manager.
8. Ethical Considerations
The incumbent is required to adhere to MAP policies and ethical guidelines, including MAP’s safeguarding policy and code of conduct.
