Position Title: Mobile App Developer

Your Job: Channel your experience & creativity to build disruptive apps for the education,

Your Responsibilities:
-Gather requirements and design native mobile apps (with a focus on Android) for young
mobile users.
-Design easy-to-use UIs, and create a seamless user experience across OS/device
ranges.
-Work together with peer developers to ensure smooth integration of new mobile apps
with existing core software products.
-Implement back-end services for all applications on Souktel servers.
-Provide ongoing technical support to partner staff on app roll-out.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science.
-Minimum 2 years’ experience developing market-leading apps with Android SDK
(flexible APIs, Versions 2.3 to 4.4). Additional iOS and HTML5 experience an asset.
-Experience solving challenges related to app performance, optimization,
caching, security, and native hardware components.
-Strong knowledge of client-server communication, RESTful web service consumption
and response parsing (JSON and XML).
-Knowledge of app deployment processes for Google Play and/or Apple App Store.
-Experience with Agile development practices.
-Fluent English: Must be able to interact with English-speaking partners by phone/email.
-Able to work daily (Sun – Thurs) in Ramallah, and on evenings/weekends if needed.
-Able to work independently, without direct daily supervision.

Desired Qualifications:
-Experience in iOS and Windows Phone app development.
-Web User Interface development experience (HTML, JavaScript, web services, PHP).
-Experience with app social media integration (Facebook, Twitter).
-Experience with automated testing and QA processes.
