Position Title: Mobile Software Developer

Your Job: The Software Developer implements new mobile software projects for Souktel clients, and may work with other software developers on new product development. This position is full-time, based in Ramallah, and may involve travel to other countries.

Your Responsibilities:
-Implement all IT-related aspects of new software projects: draft requirements, liaise with partner staff, ensure software development/delivery meets partner needs.
-Work together with peer software developers to create program code/documentation for new software applications.
-Carry out automated unit testing and regression testing for new software components.
-Create APIs and carry out mobile network connectivity set-up, together with network carrier partners.
-Provide ongoing technical support to partner IT staff on component roll-out.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science.
-Minimum 3 years’ prior experience coding in PHP, mySQL, and Java.
-Prior experience developing mobile phone software applications.
-Experience writing automated unit test suites for web-based products.
-Strong knowledge of mobile network connectivity and SMS/IVR applications.
-Experience implementing projects using Agile development practices.
-Prior experience with face-to-face client service.
-Fluent English: Must be able to interact with English-speaking partners by phone/email.
-Able to work daily (Sun – Thurs) in Ramallah, and on evenings and weekends if needed.
-Able to work independently, without direct daily supervision.
