Job summary
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer assists Merlin to monitor all program and logistical
activities and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities against the project workplan. The
position requires a sound knowledge of monitoring & evaluation principles, attention to
detail the ability to record and critically analyse numbers/statistics, and write reports. The
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer prepares detailed analysis of Merlin’s PHC, Health
Education and training activities, and provides feedback on progress against set targets.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Training/qualifications in a relevant field/discipline
2. Knowledge of, and experience in monitoring and evaluation processes, particularly related to health projects
3. Knowledge of / skills in developing monitoring and evaluation tools
4. Skills and experience in data collection and data analysis
5. Strong skills in using Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel, Explorer, Outlook)
6. Skills and experience in using SPSS
7. Administrative experience
8. Sound report writing skills
9. Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
10. Willing / able to travel throughout West Bank on a regular/ daily basis
