Monitoring and Evaluations Officer
In Partnership with Y-Care International (UK), and YWCA/YMCA Sweden, supported by Funding from the European Union, and Swedish Mission Council (SMC), the YWCA of Palestine will be implementing a Three-Year Programme, titled “Empowering socially excluded young women in the oPt to become economically active and advocate for their rights with local decision makers”
The project seeks to enable 18 community based organizations in 6 villages in the Jordan Valley and Ramallah District to effectively support disadvantaged young women and men to improve their economic and social status and advance their ability to participate in economic decision making. The project seeks to strengthen beneficiary communities through career counseling, vocational training, entrepreneurship and business start-up and development services, including the provision of sub-grants, as a strategy for poverty reduction.
The YWCA of Palestine is now seeking to hire qualified, experienced and motivated persons for the implementation of this project

Monitoring and Evaluations Officer
The Monitoring and Evaluations Officer will work under the supervision of the Project Manager, and will be technically supported by Monitoring and Evaluations Expert at Y-Care International in the UK.
The incumbent will have the following main responsibilities:
-Develop Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the project
-Establish the project baseline and develop monitoring indicators
-Design planning and reporting formats to ensure that information is collected and measured and produce progress reports for the Project Manager and for external partners and bodies when necessary
-Train field staff in collecting and monitoring data, and reporting on indicators.
-Ensure the project monitoring and evaluation database is embedded, understood and utilised by staff.
-Work closely with overseas partners’ monitoring and evaluation staff to achieve these responsibilities.
Required Major Skills and Qualifications:
-Minimum Bachelors degree in development studies, social studies or statistical sciences
-Minimum 3 years Work experience in the area of project monitoring and evaluations
-Sound knowledge of monitoring and evaluation practices including gender sensitive, cost effective and participatory approaches.
-Experience of developing and implementing effective systems for Monitoring & Evaluation, baselines and performance management.
-Good writing, communications and computer skills
