Monitoring Evaluation Accountability Learning (MEAL) Officer
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.
As a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer, your primary responsibility will be to support the establishment and implementation of the MEAL system at MAP. You will collaborate closely with the program team in the field to develop comprehensive MEAL plans and logical frameworks for projects. This includes creating and improving monitoring and evaluation tools to ensure effective data collection and analysis.
You will also oversee the Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms, ensuring that they function effectively and contribute to program and quality improvements. Additionally, you will focus on developing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our programs and drive continuous improvement processes across all program activities. You will contribute to the Reporting and Quality Management Unit’s role to standardize the organization's response to align with Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) from project design through to collecting lessons learned and closing reports.

The ideal candidate will have strong literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills, supported by a solid foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication, demonstrated through relevant qualifications or experience. Proven experience in MEAL data collection and quality control. An understanding of emergency protocols and safety guidelines. Knowledge in CHS. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic is essential.
