Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking full-time qualified candidate for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program. AMIDEAST is recruiting for the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Program Assistant to be based in its main office in Ramallah:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Program Assistant will provide support to the program’s monitoring and evaluation activities. Responsibilities may include: making graphs using Excel and SPSS or other data management/analysis software; working with the other members of the M&E Department to analyze data; conducting interviews with program beneficiaries in both English and Arabic; maintaining school files and other documents, and data entry; entering monthly Geo-MIS/TraiNet data; editing and formatting Arabic documents; printing/packaging M&E and other program materials for distribution to schools; handling regular email/phone/written correspondence with school staff, consultants, Ministry of Education and other partners; assisting in the administration of annual English testing in MSN schools; and arranging local travel and logistics.  Considerable field work is expected.

Applicants should have the following credentials and experience:

-Bachelor's degree in education, statistics, - or other relevant field;
-Knowledge of/experience with data analysis;
-Proficiency in both Arabic and English;
-Excellent writing skills;
-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and SPSS;
-Precise attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task; and
-Experience with children/schools.
-Valid driver’s license preferred.
