Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

AMIDEAST, an international non-profit organization in the West Bank and Gaza, is seeking full-time dynamic and qualified candidates for its USAID funded education program-Model Schools Network (MSN) Program.
AMIDEAST is recruiting for the following two positionbased in its office in Gaza:
 

The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will play a major role in the implementation of MSN. S/he will work directly under the supervision of the Gaza Program Manager. They will report on and document all aspects of the program. This necessitates reviewing all the information collected by the field researchers for relevance and accuracy and providing quality assurance on all date entry. S/he will set up data bases, manage them, and modify them as required to capture all information needed for project reporting. S/he will provide support to the Gaza Program Manager in preparing reports required under the cooperative agreement with USAID. This includes quarterly reports, implementation plans, and all aspects of reporting mentioned in the monitoring and evaluation plan. S/he will also keep abreast of program interactions with all staff in the Gaza office and the relevant staff at the MSN office in Ramallah :

Overall position reponsibilities :
-Analyzing and documenting, in English, all relevant data gathered by Social Workers/Field Researchers needed for scholarship award decisions;
-Setting up and maintaining a project information management system to capture and track data for each scholarship case;
-Ensuring quality control over data collected by the field researchers;
-Providing substantial support to the Gaza Program Manager in preparing required USAID reports;
-Submitting monthly/quarterly Geo-MIS and TraiNet reports for Gaza program;
-Attending regular staff meetings and updating the Gaza Program Manager accomplishments and concerns during the implementation;
-Undertaking other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Required Skills
-Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Statistics, Education, Middle East Studies, Social Studies or related field
-Five years experience in project implementation
-Fluent written and spoken Arabic; excellent written and spoken English
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Computer skills in Word, Excel, and Internet browsers
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
-Knowledge of Geo-MIS preferreD
