Save the Children is seeking a qualified candidate to fulfill the following vacancy in it’s Ramallah Office:
Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) Officer –
Position Ref.#: (MRM/WB/2016)
The MRM officer will be responsible for monitoring and reporting education related violations, coordinate with the MRM partner organizations, and Support the planning and the implementation of any MRM activities within Country Office (CO).
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Key Area 1- Monitoring and Reporting mechanisms set-up:
-Contribute to the setup of quality Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms for Education violations
-Responsible for the setup of monitoring and reporting indicators and data collection templates
Responsible for providing ongoing technical assistance to monitoring and reporting partners and field workers on any new monitoring and reporting mechanism
-Responsible for collaborating with new monitoring and reporting and advocacy partners
-Support the design of field based reporting databases and reporting tools
Key Area 2: Ongoing Monitoring and Reporting
-Responsible for the implementation of a timely Monitoring and Reporting Systems; provide technical assistance to partners to utilize the systems appropriately. Suggest adjustments to systems and tools as necessary.
-Responsible for the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism’s data collection from partner organizations including MEHE and UNRWA
-Responsible for first level of desk and field verification of data.
-Ensure multiple source data collection including online sources for reported violations
-Responsible for working closely with MEHE field follow up staff to support their monthly reporting
-Coordinate with Gaza partners on MRM reporting and ensure regular communications with focal points
-Participate effectively with the MEAL manager in any MRM related meetings such as and not limited to MRMWG, CPWG, education cluster, Settlers task force, Silwan task force, MEHE meetings.
-Responsible for providing timely MRM data for internal and external use, process any data request timely and efficiently
-Participate in meetings and events to advocate and for Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms for children. Support the engagement of new partners
-Support the implementation of MRM activities within SC ongoing and planned projects including providing trainings for staff, implementing partners, and communities
Key Area 3: Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism for fundraising, advocacy, and communication
-Support communications and advocacy team with data needed for communication and advocacy activities.
-Coordinate data support from other agencies such as OCHA, DCI, and UNICEF and others
-Support technical teams with any related data needed for fundraising before and during proposal development
-Provide support to relevant projects in the areas of assessments/baselines/evaluations.

Essential:
Education:
-Bachelor degree in social science or equivalent.
Experience:
-Minimum 3 years of experience in Human or child rights within humanitarian or development sector
-Minimum 3 years of experience in reporting, data collection, analysis
-Proven experience in communications and documentation in development sector
Skills:
-Excellent in Microsoft Office applications
-Excellent oral and communications skills both in English and Arabic
-Strong organizational skills
-Good team player and strong interpersonal skills
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
-A flexible and initiative-taking, proactive attitude with the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload
