Multimedia Trainers
Introduction
Within the framework of the project “Quality Urban Development and Sustainable Interventions Rehabilitation for Revitalization (QUDSI-R4R)”, which is funded by the European Union, managed by the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in the Regional Office of Arab States and partly implemented by Al-Quds University. It announces a Request for Proposals for trainers in the field of Multimedia. The for seen training will be conducted inside Dar Al-Consul Community Center in the Old City of Jerusalem, with few online sessions.
Objective
The objective of these training sessions is to equip young professionals with essential and advanced multimedia skills through comprehensive, practical, and hands-on courses. The training will cover four main areas:
- Graphic Design Course with a Focus on 3D Modeling: Students will explore advanced skills in 3D modeling using industry-standard software such as Blender and Maya, engaging in practical projects to create detailed 3D models that apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios.
- Media Visualization Techniques Course: Participants will learn the step-by-step process of media data visualization, and visualization software, such as Tableau, Power BI, Canva, Infogram, ECHART, through practical projects that bring their ideas to life, enhancing their ability to create visually engaging media.
- Media Virtual Production Course: This project-based, student-centered course will focus on creating immersive VR environments, with students developing VR models through hands-on projects that cover the details of virtual production from concept to execution.
- Audio Visual Skills, Intuitive Interactions Course: This course will cover sound design, audio editing, and mixing for visual media projects, with students working on practical projects to create intuitive and engaging audio-visual interactions, preparing them for roles in media production and interactive media.
Scope of Work
Selected trainers will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering a 35-hour training curriculum for each of the specified areas.
- Utilizing a project-based and student-centered approach to maximize practical learning.
- Providing participants with real-world scenarios to apply their newly acquired skills.
- Assessing participants’ progress and providing feedback to enhance their learning experience.
Deliverables
- A detailed training plan and curriculum.
- Training material and resources for participants.
- A schedule of training sessions, including dates and times.
- Individual and group-based productions by the trainees for display on site
- Regular progress reports and a final report summarizing the training outcomes.

Trainer Qualifications
- Existing Access to the Old City of Jerusalem
- Proven experience in the specific area of training.
- Strong background in multimedia education and practical application.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to develop and implement a student-centered and project-based curriculum.
- Familiarity with similar goals and objectives to the QUDSI-R4R project and the Dar Al-Consul Community Center.

- A cover letter detailing their relevant experience and approach to training.
- A detailed CV highlighting their qualifications.
- Recent three references from previous similar training engagements.
- The proposed training plan and methodology for one or more of the specified areas.
- Portfolio or samples of earlier conducted training plans and their methodologies for one or more of the specified areas.
- Documented outcomes of earlier trainings, and the participants pre and post-evaluation results.
- Financial offer for the selected training for each specified area. (35 training hours each, in addition to the development time each applicant foresees), listed as cost per hour.

This training is funded by the European Union and implemented in collaboration between UN-HABITAT and Al-Quds University.
