Neurosurgeon
An-Najah National University Hospital (NNUH) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurosurgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Neurosurgeon, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced neurological care to our patients and contributing to the advancement of neurosurgical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of patients presenting with neurological symptoms, including detailed medical history assessments and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, and electroencephalograms (EEG) to aid in the diagnosis of neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with neurologists and other specialists to establish accurate diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Surgical Interventions:
- Execute intricate neurosurgical procedures to treat various neurological disorders, encompassing brain tumors, spinal trauma, spinal cord injuries, vascular abnormalities, and degenerative spinal conditions.
- Provide pre-operative counseling and education to patients and their families, addressing expectations, risks, and potential complications associated with surgical procedures.
- Post-operative Care and Management:
- Monitor patients closely in the post-operative period, assessing neurological status, vital signs, and surgical wound healing.
- Manage pain control, fluid and electrolyte balance, and other aspects of perioperative care to ensure optimal recovery and minimize complications.
- Research and Academic Engagement:
- Contribute to ongoing clinical research initiatives and academic projects aimed at advancing the field of neurosurgery and improving patient outcomes.
- Publish scholarly articles, case reports, and clinical studies in peer-reviewed journals to disseminate knowledge and share best practices with the broader medical community.
- Mentor residents, and fellows in neurosurgical techniques, research methodologies, and evidence-based practice principles.
- Quality Improvement and Patient Safety:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs aimed at enhancing the quality of care and reducing adverse events in neurosurgical practice.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, complication rates, and patient satisfaction metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based interventions to optimize patient care delivery.

Qualifications and experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery.
- Valid medical license to practice.
- Proven experience in performing a wide range of neurosurgical procedures with excellent outcomes.
- Knowledge of intervention procedures and ability to monitor patients undergoing these procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
