Background

Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) is seeking applications from qualified local Non-Governmental Organizations to implement a program entitled “Vocational Training & Job Creation for Disabled Youth in Gaza” currently implemented by QRC in cooperation with Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and co-funded by her highness Sheikha Mouzah Bint Nasser on behalf of Al Fakhoora campaign and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

Process

QRC plans to utilize a two-step process for the solicitation of grant applications.  This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first step in pre-qualifying interested NGOs for later participation in QRC Request for Applications (RFA).  This pre-qualification stage of the process is being used to identify those NGOs that are best able to implement projects for the benefit of disabled people in Gaza Strip.  In the second stage of the process, pre-qualified organizations will be asked to respond within a short time frame to detailed Request for Applications (RFA), which will provide descriptions of specific interventions in specific locations. Possible program areas will include responses to specific intervention areas of disability including provision of services to the disabled.  Only those organizations which are pre-qualified and which meet the criteria defined for planned disability related projects will be asked to respond to the RFA so that project implementation can proceed as rapidly as possible.

QRC reserves the right to pre-qualify any or none of the applications submitted under this RFQ. This Request for Qualification (RFQ) does not obligate QRC to pay any Participant NGO fees for any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of their Application.
