Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is a Norwegian Church based NGO in Jerusalem NCA works with and through partners supporting organization and institutions in the Middle East :Palestinian Territories and Israel,Lebanon,Jordan,Syria and Egypt.NCA works for people's basic human rights regardless of gender,political affiliation,religion and ethnicity within long term development.

Emergencies and advocacy. In the Middle East region NCA focuses on support to social ,economic and cultural rights,confilict transformation and peace building and work against gender based violence.

Gender and environment are crosscutting issues.

NCA seeks a Project Officer, a dynamic energetic person who is result oriented and who likes to gain new knowledge and experience .the position is based in Jerusalem and is expected to provide support and follow up to projects with a specific focus on partners working with health and education.the position will report to the Area Representative. 

Qualifications and skills required:

• Experience and knowledge within development work.
• Experience from the health and/or education sector is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Computer skills,windows,excel,power point.
• Basic understanding and knowledgeof financial management,budgeting and reporting.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities as well as willingness to be cooperative and flexible
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• Interest in society and development and ability to learn new things.

Education level:

-University degree or equivalent.

Tasks to be covered:

• Visit and provide support and follow up to partners on building,implementationmonitoring and reporting.
• Provide inputs for programme development,implementation and reporting.
• Respond to requests from the organization,partners and others
