Nurse and Health Promoter

Kangwon National University in Cooperation with the Korean International Cooperation Agency is implementing a project, ‘follow-up Management of Primary Health Care Improvement Program in Jenin.’ We are offering a short term employment for seven months starting, June 2014.
Position: Nurse
Location: Jenin district

Responsibilities:
-Assist in the implementation process in the day-to-day management of the project activities.
-Assist in conducting local research through carrying out the design, planning and writing of health surveys as well as assisting patients in survey completion.
-Maintain up-to-date records and status of project implementation process.
-Play a vital role in the research, design, and writing of health promotion materials including, but not limited to: pamphlets, brochures, posters, infographics, booklets, advertisements…etc.
-Maintain, develop, and introduce the ‘Healthy Zone’ section at the Public Health Clinics. Assist patients in using new equipment for personally checking health conditions including body fat index as well as blood pressure. 
-Accompany team members to meetings as requested, provide translation services when needed, assist in drafting the minutes of meetings and give adequate follow-up on each subject as requested.
-Organize and participate in health promotion design program aspect of the follow-up project.
-Perform nursing duties when necessary.

Qualifications
1-University degree in Nursing preferably with focus on health promotion
2-At least two years’ experience in nursing and health promotion
3-Strong communication, interpersonal, program design skills
4-Good computer skills
5-Proven English skills; writing and communication
6-Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in under pressure settings
7-Proven project design, planning, bidding, documentation, monitoring, and report-writing skills.
