Nursing Team Supervisors
Main Purpose
Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning nursing and the team associated, according to MSF values, policies and protocols and universal health standards, in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action.
Accountabilities
•Carry out the functions and tasks associated to nursing i.e. perform as a nurse or anesthetist, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience.•Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures and supervise his/her team follow the same standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her specialty.
•Organize and coordinate the activities of his/her team (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance and define and ensure the needs for training of staff, in order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality.
•Carry out and/or supervise the (decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption, etc.) in his or her department, in order to satisfy the needs of material with efficiency and effectiveness.
•Ensuring that all staff using medical devices are qualified and trained. Ensuring that cleaning and minor maintenance tasks are performed according to the protocols. Reporting any malfunction to the project biomedical service.
•Carry-out and/or coordinate administrative (exit-paper, transfer-paper, etc.), information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.
•Give feedback/ reports to Nurse Activity Manager (NAM).
•Actively contribute to the development, adaptation and implementation of the medical strategy and work plan.
•Act as MSF focal point for hibernation room and emergency food box inside the MOH facilities supported by MSF
•Collaborate with HP supervisor when combined activities and in the development of health promotion materials.
•Ensure IPC measures are known by the team, implemented and followed at all times.
•In collaboration with the NAM, provide regular medical training for the team under his/her supervision and for the broader MSF team in JN and TK, according to the needs. Provide regular training for MoH staff, for other NGOs/INGOs, community (volunteers...), according to the need, the level of the audience (medical, paramedical, non-medical) and the evolution of the medical strategy.
•Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during emergency response activities as necessary to support comprehensive care efforts.
•Ensure that all team members collect data from their activities and accurately enter this information into the database for reporting and analysis.
•Contribute to the analysis of the monitoring data and look for adjustment (in collaboration with NAM), monthly reporting (MMR, Sitrep…).
•Facilitate and maintain a positive work environment for all team members, promoting collaboration and support to all members.
•Coordinates and organizes with NAM the team movements.
•Report any incidents, safety concerns, or security issues to NAM without delay during the shift to ensure patient and staff safety.
•Act as the focal point for communication, developing and maintaining networking with partner facilities and engaging with various stakeholders during joint activities.
•Commitment to working within a diverse and trans-disciplinary team and adapting to the unique challenges of the context.
•Attend MSF general and medical meetings to stay informed about project updates, share insights from the field, and engage with the rest of the team.
*Frequent travels between both project locations (Jenin and Tulkarem), will be required according to the needs. Additional tasks and responsibility can be requested, according to the evolution of the medical activities in the project.

Experience •Essential : Two years of previous experience as nurse in ER and/or PHC
Two years of experience as a nurse supervisor or in a management position
•Desirable: Previous humanitarian experience with national/international NGOs is a plus
Experience in SRH
