JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Operational Support you support our driving teammates by evaluating driver safety performance and providing effective feedback and coaching in response. You engage with drivers in thoughtful and meaningful conversations to help them understand our safety expectations, understand how their performance aligns with those expectations and understand and implement any adjustments needed to meet those expectations. Through your work, you support our fundamental value of safety, and help our drivers protect the people they share the road with and help our drivers find their success on our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize cutting-edge technology systems, including Samsara, to assess driver performance, alongside other performance metrics such as roadside inspections and collisions.
- Provide constructive coaching and feedback to drivers, fostering a positive environment that aligns with our safety expectations.
- Conduct thorough reviews of hours-of-service records, addressing errors, and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements, including Truck annual inspections, Driver’s CDL, and Medical Card renewals.
- Evaluate pre-trip inspection videos and images to ensure adherence to FMCSA guidelines.
- Perform audits on Driver Qualification and truck files, maintaining accurate and organized paperwork.
- Proactively address corrective actions when necessary.

Requirements:
- Demonstrate self-motivation and strong problem-solving skills in a multitasking environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Minimum of 3 years of consistent and verifiable work history.
- Fluent in English.
- Background in Logistics, Compliance, Auditing, or Education industry preferred.
- Ability to grasp safe driving principles, behaviors, and regulations governing commercial motor vehicles (training provided).
- Possess a proactive "can do" attitude with a strong work ethic, demonstrating self-motivation and a desire to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Preferably a background in airport safety, construction, and/or logistics.

- Problem Resolution: Proven track record of effectively identifying and resolving safety and compliance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with various technology platforms beyond Microsoft Office, such as Samsara, to enhance the evaluation and coaching processes.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, file audits, and compliance reviews.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving safety standards, industry regulations, and technology advancements, staying ahead of the curve.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety expectations and provide constructive feedback to drivers.
- Training and Development: Experience or willingness to engage in ongoing training programs to stay current on industry best practices and safety regulations.
- Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to handle challenging situations and conflicts, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Dedication to continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to enhance safety protocols and coaching strategies.
- Documentation Skills: Proficient in maintaining accurate and organized documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work with a diverse team and understand the cultural nuances within the transportation industry.
