Optometrist

St John Eye Hospital Group is the leading provider of eye care in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip. The main Hospital is in Jerusalem and has centers in Hebron, Anabta, Kufur Aqab and in Gaza. In addition to our extensive range of specialist services, to provide full and comprehensive high standard refraction and optetric service to the patients attending the outreach clinic in collaboration with the medical, nursing and AHP staff. 

St.John is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Optometrist on part-time basis (87.5%) - 5 days/week. The position will be based at the main Hospital in Jerusalem.

To apply you should have the following:

1. Optometry Degree.
2. Minimum of five years’ experience in Optometry and retinal imaging, visual field, and biometry.
3. Valid Palestinian Optometry license.
4. Computer skills.
5. Ability to communicate (read, write and speak) fluently in English.
6. Basic life support encouraged to take ACLS course, if possible.
7. Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team and flexible on working hours.
8. Knowledge of data collection, auditing and manage databases.
9. Excellent communication skills including writing reports.
10. Received COVID-19 vaccine.
