Background

A leading international development company specializing in multi sector development seeks experts for long-term and short-term positions in the West Bank and Gaza on a project that will support the Palestinian Authority, Palestinian Community and the local market. The projectaims to strengthen the capacity ofdifferent sectors. In particular, the company seeks Outreach and Communications Associate.

Minimum requirements
-Advanced University Degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field.
-Minimum six years of progressively responsible experience in public relations, communications, journalism or related field.

** However, candidates with BA degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field with more than 8 years of work experience are also encouraged to apply for this position.

Competencies
-Ability to craft information/messages in various media formats (i.e. press releases, memorandums, brochures, website content, etc.).
-Ability to elaborate and implement communications and publications strategies.
-Ability to relay information, as appropriate, and to collect, analyzes and evaluates data for reports and future planning.
-Excellent ability to write and communicate orally with accuracy and professionalism;
-Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively across different constituencies.
-Ability to work effectively under conditions of limited or dual supervision, high stress and rapidly changing situations and circumstances.
-Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
-Ability to use computer software related to an office environment (Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent).
-Ability to work collaboratively with other communications, media and outreach professionals, both Palestinian and international.

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be assessed against the following:
-Level of academic qualifications.
-Extent of, and relevance of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, policies and issues.
-Extent of experience in organizing and participating in local and international meetings related to public relations, communications, journalism or related field.
-Experience working on international donor projects and fluency in English.
