Outreach Worker

MSF-France “Doctors without Borders” is currently seeking to hire an Outreach Worker for its Psycho-Socio-Medical program in Nablus. The post location will be Nablus City with movement throughout Nablus District and Qaqilya District, mainly in the villages, on a part time basis
(20h/week).

Main goal of the position:
Develop and refine the MSF mental health intervention in communities affected by violence by analyzing the local context and identifying vulnerable communities, strengthening the existing contact network and develop a new one, representing MSF and reporting.

Requirements:
-Social Worker / Counselor
-Arabic mother tongue, English language proficiency both written and spoken
-Very good sense of contact and diplomacy skills
-Good computer and report writing skills
-Good knowledge of traditional Palestinian culture
-Willingness to work in insecure environment and to accept strict security rules
-Strong team spirit
-Strong motivation to work with a humanitarian organization
-Good organizational skills
-Able to recognize own limitations and when to seek support from supervisors
-Able to effectively problem solve and prioritize the work.
-Previous experience in mental health an asset.
-Previous experience with NGO an asset
