Wellbeing measurement: Development of well-being and resilience indicators, training of interviewers oversight of well-being element of the measurement, data capture and analysis components.
 
Objectives and Scope of Work
We would like to work with accepted experts in their field to develop effective well-being indicators which link very closely with the purpose designed project interventions. These interventions were designed for this purpose. The aim of this is to attempt to measure the impact of the project activities on well-being for end users and also, how this relates to the development of psychological and physical resilience. This will be undertaken as action research with the aim of continuously improving the indicators, interventions, data collection and analysis over several Oxfam projects
 
The rapid market capacity assessment requires the involvement of a very experienced team in the measurement of well-being and in the production of and training in, social indicators. The consultant / team developing the indicators would need to have experience in social, environmental and economic programming and a track record in delivering training for this. The consultant / team would also require the necessary skills not only to oversee this rapid assessment, but to effectively coordinate and problem solve where barriers arise. The consultant / team should also have experience of delivering action research and of continuous improvement and be used to working in temporary teams on designs which can be replicated and scaled up.
