OXFAM GB -- CONSULTANT – Civil Society development project

Oxfam Great Britain is looking for an external consultant to evaluate a civil society development project that we are currently implementing in the Negev desert.

The project is Co-funded by Oxfam GB and the European Commission (EC) and addresses the advocacy, legal education and litigation efforts, aiming to secure the land, housing, and health and education rights of Bedouin communities especially in the unrecognized villages. The consultant is expected to provide an independent evaluation of the project assessing the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the intervention whilst analyzing its appropriateness to the local context. S/he should have a proven good record in evaluation of humanitarian & development projects in the NGO sector and ability to meet agreed deadlines. Fluency in English and Arabic as well as awareness of cultural sensitivities and the local context are a must.
