     Oxfam GB is an international, non-governmental, relief and development organization registered as a charity in the UK, and working worldwide to address social vulnerability and poverty. Oxfam GB is now seeking to recruit Public Health Officer” Engineer”.
Start Date: Immediately
Terms of contract: Fixed term 6-month temporary contract (Replacement for Maternity Leave) stationed in Jerusalem office.
Job Purpose:

The Public Health Officer (Engineer) will be responsible for:
1- Provide technical support and advice to Oxfam Partners and other agencies engaged in the implementation of emergency water and sanitation interventions.
2- Jointly with Oxfam’s Public Health Promoters, conduct emergency public health assessments
3- Supervise the implementation of components of Oxfam GB’s
Emergency Water and Sanitation Programme contracted out to partners ensuring full compliance with required standards.
4-Ensure that all technical work carried out as part of Oxfam GB’s Emergency Water & Sanitation programme meet the required standards and follows approved procedures.
5- Identify equipment needs and in co-operation with Oxfam’s local logistics team,
6- Jointly with Oxfam’s Public Health Promoters, provide capacity building support to Oxfam Partners.
7- Any other tasks as assigned procedures, including verification of technical specifications of materials purchased
8- Any task reasonably assigned to you by your line manager or designated person
Skills:

1- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
2-At least two years experience with INGOs in Water & sanitation Projects
3-Good Command of English
4-Able to Access West Bank & Jerusalem.
5- Commitment to work in a team.
6-Ability and flexibility to adapt to fast changing environment
