Pharmacist

Position: Part-time Pharmacist
Programme: Primary Health Care Program (West Bank)
Location: West Bank – Ramallah, Qalqilya and Salfit
Duration: 3 to 6 months-dependable

Job summary
The Pharmacists main responsibility is to provide appropriate drugs and other medical equipment to Merlin’s PHC program and ensure appropriate use of drugs and consumables. The job includes
preparing medication orders for Merlin Doctors in coordination with the MOH Pharmacists per district, liaising with the MOH pharmacists and ensuring good management, distribution, and delivery of medication supplies, lab reagents, consumables and disposables according to Merlin and MOH rules and regulations. An essential responsibility includes monitoring of drug distribution to the Merlin clinic locations to ensure appropriate quantities of drugs have been delivered and to inform CMT of anticipated drug shortages that may occur in advance. The position requires
a highly motivated, hardworking and responsible individual with good attention to detail. Other attributes required for this role include flexibility (around working days/times and travel), a helpful attitude towards team members, and an up to date understanding of pharmaceutical products. This position would suit a recent pharmacy graduate looking for a diverse and hands-on role. The Job includes some lifting of bulky items.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant training / qualifications in Pharmacy
- Understanding of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment
- High level of administration and strong mathematical skills
- Very strong written and spoken English and Arabic language skills
- Demonstrated ability to use computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer,
Outlook / Outlook Express, Excel
- Ability to write short reports
- Able / willing to travel throughout West Bank on a regular or daily basis.
