To strengthen these sectors, our program activities also include conflict resolution, gender, and technology for development. Since its establishment in 1968, IREX has employed field-tested methods and innovative uses of technologies to develop practical and locally-driven solutions with partners in 120 countries. In the West Bank, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.

Partnerships with Youth is a five-year, USAID-funded program that builds on and expands USAID-supported Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) to create opportunities for active youth learning and innovation in the West Bank. PWY provides subgrants and technical assistance to eight YDRCs in Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tubas, Salfit, and Tulkarem, and two implementing partners in Albireh and Bethlehem to build their organizational capacity and improve their sustainability.

Objectives:

The main purpose of the consultancy is to deliver the ICT interns from the various West bank governorates with the main skills on how to use Photoshop, the consultant will help the interns gain knowledge and skills on:

How to install and use Photoshop.
Explore the Photoshop Menu Bar and Toolbox.
Understand Layers and Color Modes.
Working with Type and prepare sheets to publish.
Basic and intermediate design skills.

Tasks:

The consultant will implement the following tasks:

Deliver training Agenda for the training.
Material submitted to the Youth Program Manager for approval.
Conduct four hours Photoshop training workshop to the ICT interns.

Outputs/Deliverables:
The consultant will produce/complete the following deliverables:

Photoshop training agenda, session plans, training material.
Four hours training workshop on Photoshop skills.

Duration of the Assignment:
The assignment will be implemented over 4 Hours on March 6, 2018

Consultant Qualifications:

The Photoshop training consultant should have the following qualifications:

Extensive experience in delivering training of trainers for youth.
Effective facilitation, training, and coaching skills.
Extensive hands-on experience in design skills using Photoshop.

Supervision:

The PWY Youth Program Manager will monitor the consultant’s work progress and will assess implementation of the assignment and submission/completion of all deliverables. The consultant will provide periodic verbal and written progress reports and recommendations.
