MSF-Belgium is currently seeking to hire a PHYSIOTHERAPIST SUPERVISOR
 
Main Purpose
 
Defining, implementing, coordinating and monitoring all activities in the mission related to physical rehabilita-tion and integration of the physiotherapy department in the project and in the broader objectives of the mis-sion according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the quality medical care for patients
 
 
Accountabilities
 
•           Ensuring the technical quality of the physiotherapy activities and reinforcing physiotherapy education delinvery model as well as individualized “hands-on” therapy, when appropriate. Answering and coordinating the programs’ logistical needs in cooperation and collaboration with the logistics team and field coordinators.
•           Monitoring and evaluating regularly the projects progress in line with the defined project objectives of the Yearly Action Plan with the ePMR. Maintaining data collection tools and providing monthly (both qualitative and quantitative) data to show the progress of activities within the Physiotherapy department. Providing monthly activities report to the ePMR.
•           Coordinating all physiotherapy needs and ensuring the integration of the PT department within the MSF medical team. Attending meetings, rounds and clinics as designated by the ePMR. Coordinating any emergency on physiotherapy level.
•           Where needed, collaborating on a Physiotherapy referral system for patients transferred to their place of residence. Coordinating the follow up and monitoring of the physiotherapy treatment on progress of the patients in their home, the needs and the rate of success.  -Meeting regularly for coordination / information sharing with MSF ePMR and other actors and collaborators relevant to physiotherapy needs and issues
•           Where needed, providing training of any kind (theoretical, on the job,…) related to physiotherapy
•           Planning and supervising, with support of the HR department, the associated HR processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, motivation, development and internal communication) of his/her team in order to ensure having the appropriate team in terms of size, capabilities and skills
 
 
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
 
·       Clinical Supervision and Management
Provide clinical oversight to physiotherapists, ensuring high-quality patient care in alignment with MSF protocols.
Identify skill gaps, training needs, and areas for improvement among the physiotherapy team.
Oversee patient follow-up, including the management of patient files and documentation processes.
Define objectives and performance evaluation criteria for physiotherapists in coordination with medical management.
 
·       Resource Planning and Coordination
Assess and plan for material and equipment needs in collaboration with the pharmacy and logistics teams.
Standardize supply management, ensuring timely procurement of essential materials.
 
·       Referral Pathways
Develop and implement standardized referral pathways in coordination with MSF and external facilities.
Act as the focal point for communication and referrals between physiotherapy departments and other actors.
 
·       Capacity Building and Training
Design and execute training programs (theoretical and on-the-job) for physiotherapists and other medical staff to improve patient-centered approaches.
Arrange regular capacity-building sessions, supported by technical feedback from the physiotherapy referent.
 
·       Monitoring and Reporting
Regularly monitor and evaluate physiotherapy activities, ensuring alignment with yearly action plans and project objectives.
Maintain comprehensive data collection tools and provide monthly reports (quantitative and qualitative) to the ePMR.
 
·       Transversal Supervision
Ensure regular presence across MSF facilities (DEB, KY, FH, Al Aqsa) to oversee physiotherapy services and provide support.
 
·       Networking and Representation
Represent MSF physiotherapy services in external forums and working groups (e.g., RTF) to strengthen collaboration and share updates.
Maintain strong communication with other physiotherapy departments and organizations.
 
·       Centralized Coordination
Act as the central point for physiotherapy services across MSF projects, ensuring consistent implementation of protocols and standards.

متطلبات الوظيفة
Education
Advanced degree in physiotherapy essential and a current license to practice in Palestine. (Essential)
 
•          At least 5 years’ experience in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy in particular ortho and trauma.(Essential)
•          Experience with MSF or similar organisation in the field. (Desirable)
•          Experience in team management and training (Desirable)
 
 
Languages:
Fluently in English orally and in writing (essential).
 
Demonstrated Competencies:                            
Computer literacy using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and OneDrive

Preference:
