About The Role
We are seeking a public relations and fundraising manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective public relations programs while also coordinating fundraising campaigns.
Key responsibilities include:
-Build the public relations unit with a growth public relations strategy including objectives, approach, activities, timeline and budgets.
-Optimize visibility and manage stakeholder's perception.
-Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting stakeholders and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
-Set Public Relations guidelines and policies, communicate them and ensure compliance to guidelines.
-Coordinate all public relations activities.
-Manage all social media activities to design, activate and promote corporate responsibility programs.
-Prepare crisis management plans/strategies, identify threats and execute crisis plan.
-Develop relationships with local media players (Print, TV networks, online publishers and journalists).
-Proactively seek and evaluate opportunities for events, partnerships, sponsorships on an ongoing basis.
-Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
-Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations.
-Monitor, analyze and present PR results and landscape on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
-Provide media training and prepare team members for interviews, conferences, and other events and be a spokesperson if necessary.
-Review and proofread all external executive presentations.
-Proactively seek and identify local, and global public relationships trends and best practices, then promote and spread best practices among leadership and rest of the organization.
-Maintaining and updating information on the organization’s website.
-Writing and editing in-house brochures, speeches, articles and annual reports.
-Research prospective donors.
-Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors.
-Conduct fundraising strategies for an organization.
-Identify and contact potential donors.
-Organize a campaign or event that will lead to soliciting donations.
-Maintain records of donor information for future use.
-Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events.
-Train volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices.
-Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied.
Requirements Summary
The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to the field of PR/Fundraising, a strong focus on excellence, and a strong alignment with the company's values. Additional qualifications include:
-BA/MA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
-A certificate in PR or Fundraising a plus.
-A minimum of 7 years of overall experience.
-Proven working experience in the areas of PR, media, or fundraising required.
-Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
-Strong relationships with national stakeholders and industry media outlets.
-Experience in acting as a company spokesperson in Arabic and English; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
-Exceptional writing and editing skills.
-Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
-Event planning experience.
