Expanded and Sustained Access to Financial Services Program (ESAF)
Job Opportunities – Procurement Assistant,
Duty station: Ramallah.
Duration: Short term for 6 months with possibility for extension.
The Expanded and Sustained Access to Financial Services Program (ESAF) Project, implemented by AED, is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project devoted to the development of the Palestinian private sector.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Assisting in marketing research to identify potential suppliers for different goods; mainly fixed assets from all over the world especially from the United States of America.
-Helping in other administrative and managerial issues including filing and giving assistant and support to other departments.
-Reviewing the purchase orders of the grantees and following up the requested documents.
-Drafting Request for Quotations for the goods that will be procured.
-Preparing bids summary sheet for the goods that will be procured.
-Tracking the shipped goods from the departure point up to the final destination with all required logistics issues.
-Preparing the required procurement documents.
-Helping the grantees better identify their final specifications for the required goods.
-Following up the payments due to the suppliers.
Qualifications needed for this position:
-Must have a Bachelor Degree in business Administration or similar field from an accredited university.
-Two years of previous experience in procurement and administrative work.
-Excellent skill in searching through the internet.
-General knowledge of logistics issue, specially import procedures.
-Excellent communication and follow up skills.
-Excellent computer skills; specially internet and e-mail.
-Excellent English communication skills (writing and speaking).
