Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
MAP is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to provide support to the Gaza team with the procurement necessary for the current and ongoing emergency response under the supervision of the Deputy Director for Finance & Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily procurement and supply chain operations to ensure quality and efficiency, training staff on procurement policies, enforcing compliance with legal and MAP standards, and managing purchase requests.
Responsibilities include creating reports, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with warehouses and the finance department. The role also includes assisting in asset management, collaborating with team members and vendors, analysing offers, and evaluating supply chain effectiveness. Furthermore, maintaining accurate records, developing procurement plans, submitting payment documentation, and performing additional duties as assigned are key aspects of the job.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is required, and will have professional experience in procurement or supply chain management. Expertise in procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation will be key to success in this role. Additionally, a strong understanding of financial principles is crucial, especially in analysing procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Proficiency in English and Arabic communication is necessary, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
