Location: Gaza, Palestine 

Salary: ILS 107,700 per year

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team. 

The selected candidate will be responsible for  managing and streamlining procurement processes to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. It includes collaborating with technical staff for procurement planning, conducting market research, and ensuring adherence to organizational and local procurement policies. The role involves preparing and managing procurement documentation, maintaining vendor relationships, overseeing contract execution, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with specifications and terms. Additionally, it emphasizes capacity-building by training staff on procurement procedures and compliance while supporting audits and reporting to uphold transparency and accountability.

We are looking for someone with strong literacy, numeracy, and analytical abilities complemented by critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should possess professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with proven expertise in procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation. A solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyse procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities are essential. Relevant qualifications in business administration or supply chain management are desirable.
