Program assistance
Under the overall guidance of the Program Manager and the direct supervision of project officer the Project Assistant provides timely administrative support services to project implementation activities The Project Assistant will support the daily implementation of the activities of the different program.
Key Functions:
-Develop and follow up on the organization yearly work plan.
-Prepare annual and quarterly progress reports on related activities;
-Follow up on organization related activities as well as joined activities with other NGOs, government.
-Work on the procurement needs of the project by preparing contracts, names list, invitations etc.;
-Translate reports from Arabic to English and vice versa as per the program needs;
-Update and organize all Program files
-Any other related duties assigned by the Programs Manager.
Knowledge and Expertise:
-Ability to strongly manage teams;
-Ability to In-depth knowledge of election issues;
-Ability to communicate clear and concise;
-Ability to work in difficult surroundings and flexibility;
-Ability to plan and set clear goals.
Management and Leadership:
-Demonstrates excellent judgment, particularly with regard to being able to prioritize according to importance and urgency;
-Highly organized, with particular ability in devising systems to ensure follow up;
-Enjoys multi-tasking and managing several projects at one time;
-Focuses on impact and result;
-work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude;
-Builds strong relationships with partners and external actors;
Education:
-University Degree in English, Business or Public Administration, Political Sciences and Social Sciences would be desirable.
Experience:
-2 years of relevant administrative or program experience in civil society experience.
-Background in research and any knowledge in the area of political participation or human rights will be an asset;
-Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken English
