Program Coordinator

 

The Educational Network in partnership with the Ramallah Friends School and with funding from the UNDP – Global Environment Facility (GEF) is seeking to employ a qualified and enthusiastic individual with experience in development planning and management, to fill the position
of Program Coordinator.
The incumbent’s primary task will be to coordinate the activities of an environmental project at the Friends School’ Kaykab Gardens. The project’s aim is to transform the garden into an environmental educational resource for students in the region. The installation of demonstrations and prototypes on renewable energy, recycling, sustainable agriculture and water management, will be the primary task along with organizing educational field trip for students from around the region. The coordinator will also be asked to work on other initiatives that aim at re-activating the work of the Educational Network.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or related field; minimum of 5 years experience coordinating similar projects; solid background and experience in development, management and fundraising; demonstrated inter-personal and communication skills; experience working with children; knowledge of local environmental sector; excellent command of written
and spoken English; demonstrated organizational and work planning abilities; self-sufficient in undertaking own administrative tasks.
