Program Evaluator

The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at An-Najah National University seeks to recruit a Program Evaluator to conduct formative evaluation for the center’s project and activities. The main goal of the CELT is to promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning methods that focus on student-centered approach. The project is funded by the AMIDEAST/USAID and has joint activities with Bethlehem University, Northwestern University and Portland University- USA.

The roles of the formative Evaluator will include the following:
-Develop evaluation tools for the project activities;
-Collect and analyze data before, during and after the implementation of each of the designed initiatives within the project;
-Coordinate the internal ongoing evaluation process with the four universities (An-Najah National University, Bethlehem University, Northwestern University and Portland University) ;
-Recommend actions towards improving the implementation of the project;
-Coordinate with the external evaluator to provide materials/data for the summative evaluation;
-Submit periodic reports on the evaluation outcomes and process.

The position is a part time contract and will last for 12 months starting July 2011-June 2012 .

The position requires the following specifications:
-Excellent experience and background in program evaluation.
-Professional experience in project management and research methods.
-Familiarity with SPSS software and other research software programs.
-Good communication, leadership and writing skills.
-Ability to work in a team and lead research assistants.
-Fluent communication and writing skills in Arabic and English
-Readiness to work at different working hours (depends on the time of the activities).
-Readiness to travel to Ramallah and Bethlehem, if required.
