Program Officer

The Palestinian Health Sector Development and Reform Project (the Flagship
Project) is a five-year project funded by USAID. The Flagship Project is currently recruiting for the following position: The Flagship Project is seeking a motivated professional for a long-term position
to provide technical support to several project activities with a focus on providing
oversight in health financing issues. The Program Officer will work with the project
team and the MOH at central and district levels to promote innovative financial
approaches and improve finance planning, budgeting and management capacity.
Principal duties and responsibilities will include: providing technical support to the
MOH, carrying out finance training and mentoring, development of finance tools,
and supporting other technical activities at the direction of the Project Director of
Health Reform. This position reports to the Director of Health Reform.
Qualifications:
• A master’s degree in public health, health administration, health finance, economics or a relevant field.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of and experience with the Palestinian health system
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly motivated with strong preference working in team environments
• Computer literacy required including Excel skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English
