GIZ has been commissioned by the German Government to implement the programme
“Facilitating Social Participation of Palestinian Refugees (FASPAR)”.
In order to support the Programme Team at Gaza GIZ office, we are looking for a
Project Advisor (Full-time100%)
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Advise independently the partner organizations of FASPAR in Gaza with regard to the preparation and implementation of their projects according to GIZ project management regulations (capacity development incl. managing financing agreements);
-Support the cooperation with political partners, e.g. Popular Committees;
-Undertake field visits e.g. to the refugee camps, both independently and accompanied by the programme manager;
-Contribute to monitoring and knowledge management of the programme;
-Assist the programmes´ (online) data management for Gaza;
-Organise and take part in meetings, workshops and trainings as required by the programme team;
-Perform tasks which demand the mastery of a specific subject area, acting on own initiative and responsibility, anticipating possible difficulties, and developing solutions;
-Manage daily office work;
-Maintain communications and good relations with colleagues and programme team and partners;
-Assist in any other related task.
Required qualifications:
-University degree BA in political science, peace and conflict studies, international relations or related fields.
-At least 5 years work experience in this area.
-Arabic native speaker and fluent in English. German is a definite plus.
-Excellent computer and communication skills.
-Ability to work under stressful conditions, self-initiator, flexible and able to work with people of different backgrounds, service oriented, friendly personality, well organised and motivated.
