In the context of German-Palestinian Technical Cooperation, GTZ has been commissioned by the
German Government to implement the second phase of the

“Private Sector Development Program (PSDP)“

Please Note : this position requires advanced university degree and more than 5-7 years of experience
To support the Program Team at the German House for Development Cooperation in Al-Bireh, we are looking for a
“Project Advisor”
for the management and coordination of specific interventions within the program.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
• Conception, management and implementation of program activities with the public and private
sectors;
• Responsible implementation of a sub-component including staff and budget responsibility and
management of relationships with designated partner institutions;
• Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports;
• Management and supervision of local and international expert assignments;
• Support and deputization of the program team-leader in overall program management and
administration.
Required qualifications:
• Masters degree in the fields of business, business administration, economics or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian private sector or a private
sector association or with international organizations in the fields of private sector development;
• Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
• Good experience in staff management, and ability to coordinate and motivate interdisciplinary
teams;
• Experience in financial planning, monitoring and budget responsibility;
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
• Computer literacy.
Assignment: Starting 1. February 2010.
