“Private Sector Development Program (PSDP)“
To support the Program Team at the project office in Gaza, we are looking for a
“Project Advisor”
for the management and coordination of specific interventions within the program.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Conception, management and implementation of program activities with the private sector in Gaza;
-Responsible for the implementation of sub-component work streams in Gaza, including staff and
budget responsibility and management of relationships with designated partner institutions;
-Coordination with other relevant agencies and organizations supporting the private sector in Gaza;
-Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports;
-Management and supervision of local and international expert assignments;
-Work with the PSDP team in Al-Bireh to ensure good alignment of work in the West Bank and
Gaza;
-Support to the program team-leader in overall program management and administration.
Required qualifications:
-Masters degree in the fields of business, business administration, economics or equivalent;
-At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian private sector or a
private sector association or with international organizations in the fields of private sector development, specific knowledge of the ICT sector an asset;
-Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German is an asset;
-Good experience in staff management, and ability to coordinate and motivate interdisciplinary
teams;
-Experience in financial planning, monitoring and budget responsibility;
-Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
-Negotiation skills, flexibility, good team player;
-Computer literacy.
Assignment: Starting 1. March 2010.
