Introduction:
Palestine Technical University/ Kadoorie(PTUK), An Najah National University and Palestine
Technical College (Arroub) have received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) –
Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank to implement a joint
project entitled: ‘Enhancing the Learning/ Teaching process of Technology Education and Establishing the Multimedia and Educational Resources Center (MERC)”. Accordingly, PTUK intends to apply part of this grant for the selection and employment of highly qualified Project Coordinator.
Assignment Objective:
PTUK is considering the selection of a highly qualified Project Coordinator to be part of the small core staff responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the project under the supervision of the project director and the steering committee.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1-Ensure the successful implementation of the project through executing project implementation plan and providing adequate following up for the project activities.
2-Supervising and modifying the project action plan whenever needed.
3-Coordinating meetings between the project partners and project team members as needed.
4-Following up all procurement and financial issues related to the project.
5-Following up all training activities.
6-Follow up financial issues, preparing procurement plans and financial reports incompliance
with donor’s regulations.
7-Preparing quarterly progress reports as required by PTUK.
8-Evaluation and monitoring project progress at all stages of the project.
Minimum Requirements:
1-BA degree in Education ,Education Technology, IT and/or Engineering
2-At least 3 years of proven past work experience in related fields or project Management
3-Good knowledge of financial and procurement management.
4-Excellent communication and team work skills.
5-Fluency in English and excellent report writing.
6-Excellent computer working skills.
7-Ability to work under pressure
8-Knowledge in higher education institutions is a plus.
Place of Work: Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie)-TULKARM
Time Frame : The duration of the assignment is 8 months starting from May 2012 and continuing
through December 2012; The consultant shall work 8 hours per day 5 days per week.
Contract Type:Time Based contract
