Bethlehem University has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) - Education to
Work Transition Project - Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank
for the project entitled: Employability through Competency-Based Learning in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector in Palestine. Accordingly, Bethlehem University seeks the selection and employment of a Project Coordinator.
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1-Ensure the successful implementation of the project through preparing and organizing project
implementation plan and providing adequate follow up and supervision of the work.
2-Manage financial issues and preparing financial reports in compliance with donor’s regulations
and Bethlehem University finance office regulations.
3-Prepare progress reports as required by the ICP director and the project donor.
4-Build professional relationships with all project stakeholders including project partners and beneficiaries.
5-Prepare and develop the TOR for various consultants including an estimated effort for the assignments (including objectives of the assignment, scope of work, transfer of knowledge, lists of
reports, schedule of deliveries, implementation period, data, local services, personnel and facilities
to be provided by the client).
6-Lead the project team and ensuring team coherence and motivation.
7-Evaluate and monitor project progress at all stages of the project.
8-Responsible for promoting and marketing the project concept and activities.
Minimum Requirements:
1-University degree in Tourism or Business Administration, or any relevant field.
2-At least 3 years of proven work experience preferably in projects funded by international donors.
(Additional experience in tertiary education, e-learning, and financial management is a plus.)
3-Excellent communication and team work skills.
4-Fluency in English and excellent report writing.
5-Excellent computer skills.
6-Ability to work under pressure.
