Project coordinator
Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent Organization, founded in Al-Wusta governorate - Gaza Strip in 2000. POD works toward social-economic development to perform positive changes in the human life.
POD in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS starts a program entitled ” Child Friendly Spaces (Farah Centers) “ under the CPP emergency response program funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). POD is recruiting candidates for the following positions:
Title: Project coordinator
Place: POD Office
Starting date: ASAP
Duration: 5 months with possible extension depending on funding availability
Tasks and responsibilities:
1-Administrative and technical supervision, follow up and implementation of the program activities.
2-Supervision of technical and professional staff involved in the program activities that fall within his/her responsibility.
3-Ensure all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
4-Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper activities implementation on the ground.
5-Prepare periodical reports as requested by POD and donor in consultation with the Executive Manager.
6-Assist the Executive Manager in monitoring and evaluating the program by reporting to donor on the program outputs and outcomes.
7-Contribute to the development of new program ideas in the field of work.
8-To document all activities of the program and maintain an efficient program filing system including all program related documents.
9-Perform any other tasks required by Executive Manager.
Qualifications:
1-Relevant Bachelor degree from recognized university, with not less than 3 years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working with NGO's.
2-Excellent networking and coordination skills.
3-Professional level in both Arabic & English language skills.
4-Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English & Arabic.
5-Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
6-Advanced computer literacy.
7-Ability to work under pressure and within a team
8-Ability to start working immediately.
