Job title: Project Coordinator
Organization: JEST for Entrepreneurship and Development
Location: Jerusalem
Starting date: As soon as possible
Working hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day


Background:

JEST is a local NGO that was launched with the goal of planting a seed from which an entrepreneurial community may grow. The concept revolves around a physical hub for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs – from those at the idea stage to those who own companies. Hub services includes technological, financial and marketing consulting and support; strategic planning advice; networking meet-ups; and platforms for joint ventures, to help to create a rich and effective entrepreneurial/startup ecosystem in East Jerusalem

Objective:

JEST seeks to employ a dynamic and dedicated Project Coordinator whose primary responsibility is to deliver high level of support in the different aspects of JEST management especially in a project targeting schools students in the city.

Key Responsibilities:

-  Coordinates the implementation and follow-up of all project activities and ensures the  collaboration with the partner services;
- Communicates the project objectives and modalities to stakeholders
-Ensures the contact with other projects and initiatives, especially with those active in the field of entrepreneurship and start-ups, in order to harmonise the modes of intervention, to ensure complementarity and to avoid overlaps;
-Writes the periodical reports (per quarter, semester and end-of-project, integrating the contribution of the various professionals working in the project), following the indications of the project;
-Finalize and submits the financial papers related to the project and follow up with the admin and finance assistant in finalizing the financial reports;
-Supervises the rational use of the project resources;
-Participates in the capitalization or project experiences (monitoring & evaluation, learning lessons).

Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience:

-Master Degree in Business Administration, Economics, education or other related field
-A degree in IT, Electrical or computer engineering or any related field is an advantage
-Five years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working within NGO context.
-Experience in fund raising is an advantage
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Excellent formal and report-writing skills in both English and Arabic.
-Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and meet the required deadlines.
-Advanced computer literacy
-Proven ability to work under pressure and within a team.
