Project Coordinator

The YWCA of Jerusalem is a membership-based women's organization registered locally as an NGO and located in Sheikh Jarrah. The mission of the YWCA of Jerusalem is to empower young women and participate in the decision making on equal footing with men in all aspects of their lives building a democratic and free civil society.

The YWCA of Jerusalem, with more than 100 years of history, clusters all its programs under four main thematic areas: Economic Development, Women’s Rights Programs, Youth Leadership Training and Civic Engagement, Children Education and Cognitive Learning.

YWCA of Jerusalem will be implementing a 9- months Project with MJO- GIZ and funded by the German Government through GIZ programme More Job Opportunities for Palestinian Youth- short term courses component

Project title “Yalla let’s work: Digital and culinary job opportunities for marginalized Jerusalemite youth”.

The project aims at contributing to offering Palestinian youth more job opportunities and facilitating the access of Jerusalemite marginalized youth to labour market by providing vocational training and skills development

YWCA of Jerusalem is invitiates to apply for the position of “Project Coordinator”.

The overall tasks: the project coordinator will launch and supervise the flow of the project from beginning to end, supervising its activities and submitting its periodic and final reports.

Project Duration: June 20th, 2022- January 31st 2023

Contract duration: 20/6/2022 till 31/1/2023

Reports to: VTC Supervisor

Qualifications and experience:

• At least 4 years’ experience working with project coordination and /or management
• BA in a related specialization
• Proven experience of working directly with youth and vocational training
• Experience in preparing narrative and financial reports
