Project Coordinator
Position : Project coordinator - West Bank
Project Title: Raise your voice: empowerment of Palestinian youth by promoting their social
participation in the local community, through participatory paths
Organization: VdT - Vento di Terra NGO
Duration of the contract: Nine months – including a three-month probation period – with possible
extension, subject to needs, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
Type of contract: Part time, 50%
This position is an assignment to support the implementation of the project “Raise your voice: empowerment of Palestinian youth by promoting their social participation in the local community, trough participatory paths" - funded by GIZ – to be implemented in the Bedouin community of Sea Level (area C) and in the village of Um Al Nasser (Gaza).
1.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project coordinator provides support with regards to the Project Manager in the implementation of the Project’s activities in West Bank, and reports to him/her.
In particular, the Project coordinator will have the following key duties and responsibilities:
1.1 Assist the Project Manager in the implementation of the project’s activities, with specific focus on the selection and involvement of the beneficiaries and the coordination with local partners and stakeholders;
1.2 Follow up with the implementation of all the project's activities in the field, in close cooperation with local partners, reporting to the project manager;
1.3 Facilitate the communication flow and relationship with the partners and the relevant ministries and stakeholders;
1.4 Draw up monthly reports on the progress of ongoing activities;
1.5 Assist the Project Manager in the realization of all the documentation materials according to donor's procedure (minutes, reports, photos, videos);
1.6 Assist the Project Manager, in coordination with Vento di Terra staff, in collecting and archiving the supporting documents and all the other necessary documentation needed for the project implementation and financial audit, according to the donor’s procedures.
1.7 Collaborate with Vento di Terra staff in conducting needs assessments and designing new project proposals;
1.8 Conducting and following up the procurement procedures of the project.

2.REQUIREMENTS
Candidates will be considered eligible for selection on the basis of the following essential requirements, to be fulfilled by the deadline for applications:
2.1 Essential requirements
2.1.1 BA in International Relations, Political and Social Sciences, International Development or related fields. Other degrees of the same level may be taken into consideration if accompanied by sector specific experience;
2.1.2 At least 3 years of post-graduate working experience with international organizations and/or governmental aid agencies on project/programme field coordination and/or stakeholder coordination;
2.1.3 Proficient English user (oral and written);
2.1.4 Arabic mother tongue;
2.1.5 Good knowledge of the local context with specific reference to the area C and the Bedouin communities and culture;
2.1.6 Good communication skills;
2.1.7 Ability in multitasking and in working under stressful conditions;
2.1.8 Good team working skills;
2.1.9 Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Sharepoint);
2.1.10 Valid Driving license for Israelian plate (yellow plate cars).
2.2 Preferred requirements
2.2.1 Knowledge of Italian language.

The Project coordinator acts in accordance with Vento di Terra NGO principles and values.
The Project coordinator is totally aware that any act or activity undertaken in conflict with VdT principles and value will lead to the break of the contract.
The Project coordinator agrees that all the materials and the documentation produced in the framework of the action is to be considered as VdT’s property, any other use, not related to the implementation of the action or not authorized by Vento di Terra NGO, is prohibited.
