CMBM is an international humanitarian organization that works with health- and trauma-healing-related projects.

CMBM responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore mental health, safety, education, and economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.

CMBM adheres to the main principles of humanitarianism and medical ethics, in particular the principles of impartiality.

CMBM services are multisectoral, including Health, protection and education sectors.

CMBM focuses on Healing the Wounds of War program with the various ministries and NGOs since 2005 to develop their psychosocial well-being, improve the resiliency of victims of war, heal war scars, and helping the helpers.

CMBM, as an implementing partner with UNICEF, is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for the “Integrated child protection interventions for the most affected children and caregivers in the Gaza Strip” Project.

Job description:

  • Job title: Project Coordinator
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: Gaza
  • Post: Full-Time
  • Duration: 12 months, including a three-month probational period. (extension based upon the fund)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are implemented in accordance with the project action plan.
  • Responsible for the daily management of the project activities in coordination and under the supervision of the project manager.
  • Collect data from the facilitators, mentors & teachers from the field, as to prepare statistics for the beneficiaries, and follow up with the project manager
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, midterm and final reports, and any updates on each activity, achievements, and constraints faced during the project period.
  • Report the project data on 5 w, 4 w and 3 W, or any cluster-related updates.
  • Monitor project outcomes and ensure all activities are completed in a timely, and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with the CMBM’s different departments, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure better management and effective implementation of the project plan.
  • Submit the required reports and other requirements in line with the approved deadlines and formats.
  • Compile, maintain, and document project-related reports, daily work records, and other relevant documents.
  • Administrative and technical supervision and follow up of the activities’ implementation.
  • Administrative follow-up and supervision of project staff attendance, leaves, and timesheets.
  • Supervision of project team involved in the activities.
  • Ensuring team members have the supplies and resources they need to complete their assigned tasks on time and within their budget limits
  • Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what’s needed at the right time
  • Assign tasks to team members and help them understand what’s expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables
  • Plan, arrange and conduct field visits to ensure the effective and smooth implementation of the project activities and report to the direct supervisor on the work progress and any challenges/risks that may emerge during implementation.
  • Planning meetings and organizing project logistics
  • Respond effectively and promptly to any requests or inquiries made by the project manager.
  • When requested, represent CMBM in meetings, events, or field visits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in, social science, Business Administration, or other related field management.
  • Minimum of 4 years or more in other NGOs, preferably in a similar role with INGOS.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and work effectively in a dynamic and demanding operational environment.
  • Experience in reporting.
  • Proven skills in facilitation, team building, and coordination.
  • Team work spirit and ability to cooperate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and in a collegial fashion with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, to lead and work effectively in insecure environments is critical.
  • Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent command of the English and Arabic Languages (Spoken and Written).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and relevant design packages.

CMBM has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.  Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, at all times (both during work hours and outside work hours).  Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training.  All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
